First Kiss

This card is created for Operation Write Home.  The card was designed based on the above sketch in the Stars & Stamp Blog Sunday Sketch Challenge.

The pretty red cardstock is embossed with hearts and love sentiments.  The white stripe with light pink writing was cut using a Martha Stewart scalloped border punch.  The precious image is from Inger Harding and colored using pencils. The image is bordered with a black card stock.  The pink design paper has a image of  musical notes in a slightly darker pink that has been distressed on both the back drop piece and the sentiment.   The sentiment is popped on foam tape.
What is sweeter than a first kiss?

I cannot believe it is November the first already and I am making  love and Valentine cards! This is the first sketch that I have tried for OWH and I loved it. I will make a few more with this sketch and then try some of the others. Happy November and please let me know what you  think.

Vintage Christmas Paperbag Album

This Album was one of my first paper bag albums. I make them entirely different now. I learned so much from different scrapbook artists on You Tube.  I especially love Laura from  Follow The Paper Trail. My albums look so different now, but we all learn and improve with time.  The papers and tags are Daisy D's Timeless Christmas. I love Daisy D's vintage papers. My vintage Christmas photos will be put into this album in time! I will eventually list some other scrapbook artist who have inspired me.

Family Chipboard Album

This beautiful Chipboard album was made by my daughter Heather. Both of my daughters are wonderful artists and I love everything they create. Heather used K&company K-ology Peabody scrap Pad. The chipboard album was designed by Heather and cut on her Cricut.

Vintage Paper bag Album

I love vintage and making paper bag and mini albums. This album was purchased by someone as a Mother's Day gift for her Mother.

Recipe Albums

I hope you enjoy these two recipe albums I made for my Aunt Libby and my Mother. I had the pleasure to give them their albums while in Amish country. We went to Lancaster,PA to visit family and vacation.

Both albums were the same except for the album color. My awesome daughter Heather, one of two awesome daughters, also made recipe cards for the albums. These are two of four recipe albums made as gifts. I absolutely love making  mini albums of any kind, but it is nice to share your treasured family recipes. Many of my recipes are over 150 years old.

I  made my first recipe album at the Scrapbook Nook, in my town,as a recipe exchange. There were about eight to ten women who participated. The cards were a different category each month.

We met and each of us brought our dish of the recipe for that month. This was so much fun. I really miss the scrapbook store which closed a few years ago. The cards in this album are 6x6. Try making one,I think You will love it! Thank you for looking.
