First Kiss

This card is created for Operation Write Home.  The card was designed based on the above sketch in the Stars & Stamp Blog Sunday Sketch Challenge.

The pretty red cardstock is embossed with hearts and love sentiments.  The white stripe with light pink writing was cut using a Martha Stewart scalloped border punch.  The precious image is from Inger Harding and colored using pencils. The image is bordered with a black card stock.  The pink design paper has a image of  musical notes in a slightly darker pink that has been distressed on both the back drop piece and the sentiment.   The sentiment is popped on foam tape.
What is sweeter than a first kiss?

I cannot believe it is November the first already and I am making  love and Valentine cards! This is the first sketch that I have tried for OWH and I loved it. I will make a few more with this sketch and then try some of the others. Happy November and please let me know what you  think.

  1. This card is precious. I love the coloring on the image. The mixture of the papers is great.

  2. This is so sweet! Beautiful job on the coloring, too. Thanks for joining us in this week's OWH Stars & Stamps Sketch Challenge!

  3. Love both cards. Think the secon is my fav! TFS!!!
